Aluminart Architectural offers you peace of mind with our limited warranty coverage. It is our quality label that your purchase is exceeding your expectations. Thank you for your trust.
The present warranty will be effective starting May 1st, 2018 and any purchase made before this date must refer to the warranty that was applicable to that purchase date.
Aluminart Architectural Inc. (named "ALUMINART" hereafter) warrants to the original purchaser under normal use and service (subject to the conditions and limitations stipulated hereafter) that windows and doors that they manufacture are free of any manufacturing defect, attributable to the materials or labour.
on aluminum and vinyl components
For a period of twenty-five (25) years from date of delivery, ALUMINART guarantees the aluminum and vinyl components of the manufactured products against any manufacturing defect attributable to the materials or labour. The enamel cooked finish on the aluminum and vinyl components is not part of this warranty but is covered by our supplier’s warranty.
on Truth hardware (windows)
For a period of fifteen (15) years on all casement & awning windows and for a period of five (5) years on all sliding and hung windows (single & double sashes). ALUMINART guarantees the hardware against any normal operational defect, beginning on the delivery date.
on glass panes (energy efficient sealed glass units)
For a period of ten (10) years, starting from delivery date, ALUMINART ensures that the sealed glass units are free of defects obstructing the view by the formation of a film or any dust deposit on the inner surfaces resulting from a lack of seal.
on coatings (color paint finishes)
For a period of ten (10) years from date of delivery, ALUMINART guarantees paint color finishes on door panels and windows against chipping, cracking, peeling, blistering and uneven discoloration (more than five (5) Delta-E units). Exposure to sunlight (UVs), pollutants and normal atmospheric conditions can lead gradually to the whole surface discoloration or an accumulation of dirt, stains and other agents on the surface (chalking); these are normal phenomena for which this warranty does not apply.
on steel doors (slab panels and door frames)
For a period of ten (10) years, ALUMINART guarantees steel door panels and frames against any damages caused by major deformations, such as subsidence, swelling, twist (panels torqued more than 1/4") or perforation due to corrosion unless exposed to saline environment, smoke or toxic fumes. Doors frame systems are covered from any manufacturing defects caused by its material or labour. The stained glass panes on doors are not part of this current warranty but falls under the stained glass units supplier’s warranty. Regarding stained glass unit frames (mouldings), ALUMINART will guaranty them for a period of five (5) years against desoldering and against any kind of rippling. Hinges, weatherstrippings, and bottom sweet weatherstrips are guaranteed for a period of one (1) year.
on spontaneous glass breaking (thermal breakage)
For a period of two (2) years from date of delivery, ALUMINART guarantees the sealed glass units against spontaneous breakage (excluding sealed glass units installed on all hinged or gliding doors). This warranty applies to sealed glass units that are factory installed only (installed in complete product). Breakage will be characterized by a crack on the interior glass part of the sealed units; there should not be any impact point on the aforesaid glass.
on labor
For a period of two (2) years from date of delivery, ALUMINART will defray the costs of labour to repair or replace defective components during this period. For subsequent years of warranty, ALUMINART will be limited to the replacement of defective parts. F.O.B. its plant and excludes all liability of any kind whatsoever from ALUMINART. The warranty on the repaired or replaced product will be limited for the remaining time period of the original warranty.
Claims
Any claim under this warranty must be sent promptly to the retailer (selling dealer) in order to be processed. All warranty claims must be made during the applicable warranty period. No other warranty or promise given by whomever (retailer, representative, selling dealer, installer or other parties) will be honoured and ALUMINART certifies that no other verbal or written warranty will be considered valid.
